// SECTION 003___CASE STUDY

Founding a brand from zero without a design team is not about tools, it’s about instinct.

Frontlands was created from a simple but revolutionary proposition–that people should be able to get value from the mineral rights that they and their earlier generations have held on to for so long. The idea was to provide lines of credit for people who had generation’s-old mineral rights that they did not want to lose to predatory buyers.

// SECTION 004___THE CHALLENGE

Utilize design, copy and positioning to create a brand that inspires the trust of naturally wary individuals–without an agency or design team.

1.The Challenge

AI as co-pilot

  • Brand vacuum–new financial instrument: no visual language, no tonal north star for content

  • Typical path: hire photographer + copywriter + strategist. Cost + time prohibitive for founding team.

  • The real gap wasn't tools—it was taste architecture first. Without a clear North Star, any AI output becomes averaging.

Built to Last

  • Honest

  • Quiet

  • Confident

  • Unvarnished

  • Plain-talking

  • Blunt

  • Wise

  • Crafted

// SECTION 002___SKILLS

2.Tone + Content

Marketing copy & social strategy

A. Founding the Voice

  • Defined Frontlands' conversational mode (authority without pretension? relatable expertise?)

  • Gave AI the mannerisms, not just keywords.

B. Multi-Channel Adaptation

  • LinkedIn ≠ Instagram ≠ Homepage

  • AI suggests drafts; I rewrote for context, removed averaging, kept specificity

  • Marked what worked, what got flattened—fed findings back into next batch

C. What Resisted Automation

  • Strategic narrative (why Frontlands exists) → me

  • Founder voice (authenticity, specificity) → me

  • Tactical content calendar (audience timing, competitive response) → me

  • Asset generation & first-pass variation → AI
